Summary
Spamton always wanted freedom, the ability to choose his own path, his own choices. He's gotten that, at a price. But it's better than no freedom at all. Better than being stuck in a tiny cage for decades. You don't need a bunch of strings to be trapped forever, apparently all you need is one goddamn wire.

Summary
When Zanka was six, he tried poison for the first time. His father, a shoo-in for some position or another, had been targeted by an assassination attempt. So as a precaution, all the Nijikus - even little Zanka - had to prepare for any scenario. They ran drills until their fingers bled, doubled down on self-defence technique, and started ingesting small bits of poison to build up an immunity.
Eleven years on, Zanka doesn't live with his family anymore, but his life certainly is in danger thanks to one poison obsessed individual. Jabber is crazy, competitive, and the only thing Zanka’s been able to think about for weeks. Each time he faces a poison-tipped claw, he can’t help but wonder if he’s building up an immunity or falling into a new addiction.
