Summary
The doll ends up being ridiculously cute, almost perfectly round and made of soft minky. It’s big, too—big enough that Suguru can barely wrap his arms around it without squishing it. One half of it is entirely black to represent Satoru’s uniform. The spiky hair and blindfold have been lovingly designed and sewn on, along with tiny round hands and feet. Mimiko stitched a mild smile onto doll-Satoru’s face, and somehow, fittingly, it ended up looking smug.
“I love him,” Suguru declares, hugging the doll to his chest and resting his chin on top of it.
“Yeah, that’s kind of the whole problem,” Nanako grouses.
The sad tale of Satoru-chan’s untimely demise.

Satoru chuckles, stepping closer, lowering his voice. “No. Call me Satoru.” He has Suguru’s back pressed against the lockers and their chests are touching. The ten centimeter height difference feels wider than that. “I’ll throw in more money just to hear you moan it.”
