Summary
Gotham has shown up on the Infinite Realms’ violation list one too many times.
Resurrections, Lazarus pits, an absurd death rate, and a liminal saturation reading that makes ancient ghosts swear—if someone doesn’t fix it, the automatic solution is quarantine. As in: cut the entire city off from the living world.
Enter Danny Fenton, very tired Ghost King, sent to perform a “royal inspection.”
He’s expecting hauntings, maybe a cult or two. He’s not expecting a semi-sentient city, a legion of bat-themed vigilantes, and one very angry, very Lazarus-tainted ex-Robin who’s technically a walking afterlife violation.
The Infinite Realms want a verdict. Gotham wants to live. Jason Todd would like everyone to stop talking about his soul.
Danny is just trying not to condemn an entire city before he’s had enough coffee.

“Why do you wear that collar?” the witcher asks.
Jaskier startles. He’s been fiddling with it, he realises, a nervous habit. He didn’t think the witcher had noticed, even though those golden eyes seem to spot most things.
“It’s so people know what I am,” he says.
“And what are you?” the witcher says. His tone has turned surprisingly gentle. Perhaps he can hear the misery in Jaskier’s voice.
“Bound in service,” Jaskier explains. He tries on a smile. “It might not look like it, but I’m as much of a prisoner as you are.”
Jaskier didn’t exactly plan to escape from his master alongside a terrifying witcher. But it might turn out to be one of his better decisions.

Jaskier saves the Warlord's daughter. Despite his family ties, he's allowed to stay in Kaer Morhen while he recovers from his injuries. Eventually, it becomes home.

Today was, without a single doubt, the most peculiar day of Jaskier’s life.
“I’m sorry,” he said to Yennefer, blinking up at her, very glad that he was seated on the side of the thin bed. “I think you just said that I’m pregnant.”
The sorceress’s violet eyes harbored not an iota of humor. She crossed her arms under her ample bosom, and said, “You are pregnant.”
“Pregnant with a magnificent bounty of well-crafted songs?”
Her eyes narrowed. Under any other circumstances, he would have felt a mighty frisson of fear skittering down his spine. He was far too horrified of the words that rolled off her plump, red-painted lips next.
“You are pregnant with a baby.”
______________________________________In which Jaskier discovers that he's mysteriously pregnant but wants the baby, Geralt finally learns to use his words after twenty years, Yennefer is so done with two idiots in love and their communication problems, and Ciri gains a new family.
(The main story is complete at 10 chapters, but will be updated with codas about Geralt and Jaskier and their life following the events of the main story. Also features my art!)

Summary
I read the Witcher books, and Geralt is a sensitive boi about the whole mutant thing. Multiple times he mutters to himself about how THoSe PeoPLE don't think he has FeElings.
So I just really think he'd be charmed as hell by Netflix Jaskier. It would be big 'I've had him for a day and a half and if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone in this tavern and then myself' energy.
So I imagined what would happen if Book Geralt met Netflix Jaskier that day at that tavern in Posada. (Spoiler he loves him.)

“How old are you, anyway?”
Yellow eyes flicked wryly up to him. “Old enough to be more than your father, pup. C’mon, start putting your shit away.” The witcher stood, gathering their first pile of things— for the desk and its drawers— and neatly depositing them.
“That’s not a number.” The bard smiled sweetly, eyes narrow, in the way Geralt said made him look like a little butcherbird: darling but violent-minded. “Don’t get shy now; you don’t look a day over seventy, dear-heart.”
Geralt reached over and tugged his earlobe for the impertinence. “Cheeky, but close.”
Jaskier laughed. Everything but his husband’s white hair looked to be late-thirties, perhaps forty; an excruciatingly fit, well-kept forty, but the shallow lines in his face and the fullness of his physique gave him away somewhat.
“Fifty? Fifty-five? I’m not going to catch a case of the vapors, Geralt.” Jaskier made a point to keep his expression playful, despite the flush of embarrassment that crawled up his neck to color his face. He liked it, and Geralt knew that he liked it, so there was no shame in discussing it. Particularly when it kept the conversation away from why he liked it.
