Summary
Jayce must catch it before Viktor does because he’s no more than halfway to the ground before Jayce slips his arms under Viktor’s and lets him down easy, the motion of collapsing only worsening his pain. He wants to push away from Jayce and tell him off, but he’s comfortingly warm, and the blackness catches up to Viktor before he’s fully on the ground.
Or: As a blizzard passes through Piltover, Viktor catches a cold and has a flare-up in his leg after overworking himself. Luckily, Jayce's favorite thing to do is take care of others.

Summary
This was inspired by a Tiktok comment and I blacked out, opened my drive, and an hour later I was staring this down.
"Viktor being a little shit" was the original title but I wrote a line and the rest is history.

“What?” Viktor breathes out, flicking his gaze anywhere than his lab partner. At this angle, with Jayce for once shorter, those dazzling eyes are just a bit too much.
Like he said, it's terminal.
“Viktor,” he reaches for the notebook, Viktor’s hand jerks back and the book tumbles to the ground a foot or two away. “Wait, I'm sorry.”
