Summary
Ever since Enjin remembered, he was always hiding his second gender to the best of his abilities.
He used scent maskers, strong, musky colognes, told everyone that he had ruts whenever he had to hide himself for the period of his heats, and more.
Honestly, he thought he was doing quite well! No one suspected him, and everyone thought he was an alpha like he claimed to be - other than of course Semiu and Corvus who knew the truth. Logically, he knew that being an omega wasn't anything bad. He respected omegas, many of his fellow cleaners were ones, but he simply did not want to be one. It was easier for everyone to see him as an alpha. Besides, he didn't even look like an omega - everything about him screamed alpha or at least beta.
But let's focus on his current dilemma.

Enjin and Tamsy have spent some time together. Enjin’s pack has been theorizing for a while that Tamsy might fully end up as the pack’s Omega. Yet, neither one of them had made it official.
Until in the midst of a battle alongside Team Eager Tamsy’s vital Instrument ends up in Zanka’s hands and he realizes he has access to its power.

Summary
Zanka knew that carrying out a relationship with a Raider as a Cleaner would be complicated. He knew he'd have to be careful. More than careful. He'd have to be perfect- no matter what, no one could find out about the truth. Not when he knew what the consequences would be.
Naturally, he slips up anyways, accidentally mentioning Jabber's name at HQ, and it’s all over.
Except its not. Because there's good news and bad news.
The good news was that Zanka hadn't actually said Jabber's name. Instead, he'd said a nickname. A nickname that nobody knew referred to Jabber.
The bad news was that now all the Cleaners thought that Zanka had a girlfriend named Abby, and if he wanted to keep his job, his family, and his relationship with Jabber, he was going to have to keep up the charade.
What could go wrong?

At least, until a strange encounter reveals one of Jabber's potential weaknesses. Gentle affection.
This was Zanka's chance. He could finally get one over on Jabber. If it weren't for one tiny problem. Zanka's own weakness: these strange, soft feelings he's been having for Jabber.
But it's fine. All he has to do is suppress them, squish them down. Out of sight, out of mind. He was going to get a win against Jabber, a win that counted.

And he knew that he really wanted him to accomplish that (beating the hell outta Jabber). So when he wants to see Zanka laughing his head off without a care in the world, he decides the new toxin he's come across is perfect for their next fight.
But that's not exactly how it happens. Because Jabber Wonger is a scientist that doesn't like to follow all the rules.
And when the consequence of that ends up being him having to trip sit a very clingy, overly affectionate Zanka?

He doesn't remember when it started.
But if he could go back—he would save Regto. He wouldn't have gone down that alley. He wouldn't have taken that pill.
It's too late now.
Now he's shaking on the cold floor, teeth chattering, body burning, and the faces of those he betrayed swim before his eyes. The voices in his head get louder with every passing minute. His hands ache so badly he wants to scream.
But no one can know.
There's one pill left in the pouch. And Rudo would die for it.
The problem is, in this world, there are people who suddenly seem to want to save him. People who notice too much. People who don't leave, even when he snarls and snaps.
Especially one golden-eyed idiot who sticks his nose where it doesn't belong, sings stupid songs, and for some reason promises not to go anywhere.
Rudo doesn't know what's worse: the withdrawal, or the way Enjin looks at him

Summary
The embarrassment and surprise of the whole ordeal shocks Rudo into some clarity. That weird, fuzzy, small feeling fades. And as he straightens up and the movie resumes, he stews on how he was feeling before. Rudo was definitely acting…odd, right? Cuddling with your…coworkers(?) is probably not a normal thing, even in a place as weird as the ground. And why was he feeling so weird? If Enjin and Gris knew all what he was experiencing, they’d probably be creeped out. He can most likely pass it off as being tired or something though, so it was just embarrassing.
These people didn’t want that kind of thing from Rudo. He needed to be a strong fighter–a protector! They didn’t want him soft or small or whatever. The only person who ever would is Regto and he’s…
Rudo can’t quite shake off his tension for the rest of the night, and the movie doesn’t seem as magical as before. He tenses consciously, feeling like a coiled spring, and resolves to be careful and not to let the weird, ‘small’ feeling happen again.
…It fucking happens again.

Yet when he sees the man injured and trapped away from the both of their teams maybe they can finally confront the fears in both of their hearts.
