"A-Cheng." Lan Wangji said, his golden eyes staring meaningfully down at him.
Long wispy eyelashes fluttered as Jiang Cheng looked down, avoiding eye contact with the alpha.
"What happened?" Lan Xichen asked again in a softer, quieter tone. The both of them led Jiang Cheng toward a nearby bench, sitting the omega down on it gently. They set their bags down and took a seat on either side of him.
"It's nothing," Jiang Cheng repeated softly, shaking his head from side to side as he curled up into himself. "I'm just being selfish..." he whispered and then nodded, seemingly convinced with the statement.
Lan Xichen's eyes narrowed. "I doubt it's simply that," he said firmly.
"Let us be the judge of that," Lan Wangji suggested, equally as firm as his brother.
