“And why would I test any kind of ‘love potion’ for you?” Alastor asks Velvette, eyebrow cocked with a hand on his hip.
He wasn’t impressed by the younger overlord’s begging for him to be a guinea pig for something she really ought to test on some other random sinner. Why would she want him, of everyone in hell, to test out one of her potions?
A love potion, at that.
It was utterly absurd.
Or: Alastor tries a love potion and is shocked to find it has absolutely no effect on him when he looks at Vox.

There is a guest at the party that is being disrespectful towards both Alastor and Vincent.
And Alastor doesn't like when someone is disrespectful towards him, let alone towards his property.

Luo Binghe remembers the teeth of Shrieking Fire Lizard. Full mouth of them, in too many rows to count, and each as sharp as a tiny, venomous sword. He remembers the way those teeth clenched around his thigh, cutting and burning and tearing at his skin and flesh.
And yet, none of it hurt as much as seeing his shizun, clad in brilliant crimson robes, getting married to another man.
Shen Qingqiu gets married while Luo Binghe is still in the Abyss.

Summary
In order to gain another favor from Charlie, Alastor has to sneak into the Entertainment District and get a copy of Angel's contract. As he was sleuthing, he couldn't help but overhear something interesting. Vox has apparently used his image in his simulations, possibly using a fake version of him in abhorrent ways. Curious, he decided to slip in and see.
It was not quite what he'd expected.
