Honestly, Wednesday’s not sure what’s more horrifying: that she’s somehow managed to develop tender feelings for not just one boy but two (which seems a great deal like two boys too many, although she’s certain that her disgustingly romantic parents would disagree) or that she’s falsely accused one of them of being a dangerous killer when the other actually is a dangerous killer.
She misses having simple problems to deal with, like jocks bullying her brother. She knows how to handle things like that.

It's buried and hidden, only rarely breaking the surface, but it's undeniably there and Dorian can't help but find it fascinating. Can't help but be curious.
Because even with the ennui of eternity slowly gnawing away at his soul, Dorian has always loved a good puzzle. And Ethan Chandler is an intriguing and attractive puzzle, indeed.

The waves keep lapping at the shore, the seagrass keeps bending in a soundless wind, and Rang is no closer to figuring out how to get the fuck out of here than he was when he first found himself on this beach.
It's unpleasantly similar to that whole mess with the Darkness, really, although this at least is just some sort of limbo between life and death rather than a nightmare realm based on his own most frightening memories.
It's still frustrating, though, because he doesn't want to be here. He certainly doesn't want to be stuck here while the Imoogi is on the loose. The bastard's already gotten to Yu-ri once, after all, and now there's Su-o to think of, too.
Rang needs to get out of here.
He just has no idea how.
Except then he hears it.
He can’t not hear it.
Just as his ears had caught the whimpers of a dog being abused, just as he’d heard a small boy’s cries for help as his step-father beat him, just as he’d heard the cries of a trapped fox spirit clamoring to be saved from a life of torture and captivity.
Someone is crying.
And Rang wakes up.

And yet, there’s... a strange sort of reassuring familiarity in the interaction with the injured... “Soap” that Yuri experiences while Nikolai and Price are asleep.

Then, silence that stretches on for what feels like an eternity.
