Summary
Mike's mind had been made up the second Will had put a hand to his handlebar.
"Shit…" Mike cursed as he kicked up the kickstand of his bike, mounting it and rolling out of the garage. He pointedly ignored the crash of the rain on his head and shoulders, how the cold seeped through his raincoat instantly, permeating his skin and sinking into his bones before he'd even hit the street.
This wasn't a normal summer storm. It was too cold, too heavy.
OR: An alternate ending to the S3 rain fight scene.

Before he can really think about it, Mike blurts, “You’re excited to — to kiss boys in New York, then?”
It takes Will a second. “What is wrong with you.”
“What—” Mike’s mouth is moving faster than his brain— “what did I do?”
“You’re being weird! Did you ask Dustin if he was looking forward to kissing MIT girls?”
“No, but that’s — that’s different!”
“Different how?”
“I — I don’t know, ok! It just is.”
When Will moves away to go to college in New York, Mike deals with it in the best ways he can: moping, reading, weekly letters to Will, and a sexuality crisis. Cue chaos.

Summary
There are multiple things Mike notices about the scene in front of him.
Firstly, and probably most importantly: William Byers is dancing on a table.
Mike blinks hard. Once. Twice. The picture doesn’t change. There’s Will—His best friend since childhood; shy, awkward, nerdy Will. Only he doesn’t look like any of those things right now.
Or, Will gets white girl wasted and Mike freaks out about it.
