Summary
Satoru was supposed to heal and leave.
That was the agreement: a broken-winged wyvern seeking shelter in the domain of an old, cruel dragon whose name stirred fear in the bones of lesser beasts. Sukuna had lined his territory in blood and bones, and mercy was not part of his legend.
But days bled into weeks. Wounds healed. The cold stone den grew warmer as winter turned to spring, and then to summer.
And between quiet meals and glances that lingered too long across the flames, Satoru stopped being a trespasser and became something else entirely.

Summary
It is 1897, the time of the Gilded Age. And in the heart of New Orleans there is a wealthy young man with aspirations beyond his family line: Gojo Satoru. Possessing a creative fire and unearthly beauty, he soon draws the attention of two very different suitors.
From the moment Suguru Geto sets eyes on Gojo, he becomes a man obsessed. He sets out to woo him, but finds he hasn’t the poetry or the imagination to do it. Time wears him down like sandpaper, its edges grate hard and fast against his mandible, each year passes with the promise of another, a morning yet to come, a shared meal to look forward to, spluttering of water in the adjacent koi pond, fishes with their bodies heaving, mass of flesh accumulating, fat and full, he would find, in time, himself softening like an appendage bent to will. And Satoru would come like a ghost lurking in between the shadows, a blurred line along the crevice of the door, a lurking body near the kitchen aisle, an incessant voice ringing in the back of his head.
