“Do you think he’ll actually show up this time?” Amy said, voice small and fragile.
With a sigh, she gently rubbed Amy’s back.“I hope so, dear, I really do…but even if he doesn’t, we can still have a wonderful day here, just the three of us.”

A one shot in which Galinda decides to try something new and cut her hair. Elphaba obviously finds her stunning and does her best to assure her she is. Kinda the "Miss Elphaba, you're beautiful" scene, but reversed: a callback to this scene that they both remember fondly.

In their eyes, he was a weapon, a slave to order around, an animal at risk of being put down. Any suffering he endured, they claimed he deserved. To the point he slowly accepted the lies and gave into his primal urges. Believing he could never fully heal and be happy again.
But they were wrong. He isn't a sentient tool of destruction. Those who truly know him are quick to debunk their accusations. And they are just as quick to recover the pieces of his shattered heart and mend it back together. Revealing something beautiful in something broken.
