He’s wearing a striped shirt he doesn’t recognize and his jeans look lighter than the pair he put on this morning... at the motel... Eddie.
His heart rate skyrocketed as he tried to remember what happened, how he got there, but more importantly where Eddie was. He felt too weak and sluggish to turn around to see if Eddie was in the same situation as him behind him, but fuck, he really hoped Eddie was okay.
That Eddie was far, far away from whatever was happening here.

Through the haze of his fear, Ilya tried desperately to remember the last time he had kissed Shane. The last time he had said I love you to him. He let himself live in the memory as a tear slid down his face.
Ilya didn’t even have a photo of Shane that he could look at because they always delete them. For a brief moment, he thought about googling Shane just to look at him one last time.
Then, just as quickly as their descent had started, the plane leveled out. Distantly, Ilya heard an announcement echoing throughout the cabin. He could barely translate it through the panic, catching words like “engine,” “emergency landing,” and “brace for a rough impact.”

In the morning, he crept downstairs still half asleep, rubbing his hands over his blinking eyes as he tried to wake up. He made a beeline straight toward the coffee machine, knowing he was going to need at least two cups before anyone from his family showed up.
Buck loved them so much, but when the entire 118 family got together, it could be a lot to handle.
It wasn’t until he was standing in front of the coffee maker watching it brew that he realized the lights in the kitchen were on. He remembered turning off all of the lights before he went to bed. Buck looked around the room in confusion, his heart dropping when he spotted a cabinet and a drawer fully open across the room. Those were absolutely closed when he went to bed.
Yup. That confirmed it. His house was definitely haunted.

When Buck woke up, he was alone.
No. That wasn't quite right. He wasn't completely alone. He had the chair he was tied to and a camera set up across the room to keep him company. He didn’t know how long he’d been there or how he’d gotten there.
Whatever had been used to tie his wrists behind his back was cutting deep into his skin and he flexed them to see if there was any give. There wasn’t.
He watched as a red light on the camera turned on, its monotonous blinking mocking him as he shuffled in the chair trying to find comfort. He shuddered at the distinct shift of a plug in his ass hitting his most sensitive place and he clenched almost unconsciously.

Summary
There was an arsonist in Los Angeles targeting firefighter’s homes and Eddie and Buck had both been worried about Christopher, taking turns staying in the Diaz household.
So far, none of the homes or apartments targeted had belonged to the 118, but everyone was on high alert and being very cautious with leaving their homes unattended.
All of the hits seemed to be random and no one had been hurt so far, but at least six firefighters were displaced because the fires had taken away everything they had.
Either way, Buck was now on his way back to hid apartment for the first time in a week.

Eddie was tired of sitting next to hospital beds waiting for his boyfriend to wake up.
Of course, this was the first time since he and Buck became boyfriends that Buck ended up in the hospital, but that was besides the point. The feelings were always there, albeit very, very, very hidden. Really the only difference between then and now is that Eddie was allowed to hold Buck’s hand.
Actually, with how weirdly close their friendship has been, he’s probably always been allowed to hold Buck’s hand.
The point is that Eddie was tired of sitting in terrible chairs under terrible lighting drinking terrible coffee.
