    Talk, talk, talk-

It was all everyone in camp did, but Arthur-

Arthur listened. Listened to him, a lone wolf, a "taciturn dimwit", as he'd been called more than once. The man with the broadest shoulders Charles' had ever seen, face marred by years of the life of an outlaw, looked to him every night over the fire and seemed to soften. Seemed to relax after a day's work- lord knows Arthur was one of very few who kept the entire gang from falling apart at the seams. All of his work, done day after day, he did without complaint. Without denial. It was just what needed to be done. The hunting, the skinning, the fishing, the foraging, the robbing, the stealing, the intimidating, it all had to be done and Arthur... Arthur always seemed to be the one doing it.

Or, 'What to Do When Your Boss Doesn't Suck Nearly as Much as He Could'

With Shroud dead and Robert's contract with the SDN expiring in a few months, there's nothing keeping him working with the Z-Team. And given the nature of some of their prior Dispatchers, Sonar decides that's unacceptable, and takes it upon himself to use his not-inconsiderable charms to convince Robert to stay.

Depending on how you define it, this plan meets with an unanticipated level of success.

I feel this is something that means more to me than you.

Maybe he was right. Maybe he was wrong. But the words couldn't come up- he couldn't get them out of his throat. Standing there in the evening sweat of the muggy swamps surrounding Shady Belle, Charles looked both too at-ease and too uncomfortable. There was something pressing in those dark eyes, sunlight a filter off the warmth of black honey. Soulful eyes, visage usually drawn a scowling furrow over them. But their entirety made Arthur's fingers itch at the tips, grasping and twitching at empty air in desire for a piece of paper and a pencil to sketch it. To capture the likeness of the huntsman before him, in all that he was.

“So,” Arthur clears his throat, ashes his cigarette against the ground. He’s leaning back against a tree, behind and off to the side of him. Been standing there for a good while before he spoke, though Charles doesn’t mind. “What do you like?”

Charles huffs out a short, amused noise, barely heard against the rhythmic tap of his hammer against the wagon’s boxing, driving it back into the hub and the frame. “What does that even mean, Arthur?”

    Summary

Charles finds a bird on his hunting trip and brings it with him to camp. He tells Arthur a story about his father and they sit together.

"Who's there?" Bill shouted, raising his shotgun. "It's Charles." The half native american said in a tired voice. He walked right past Bill and Arthur, he was holding something in his arms and he was wearing a look of concentration on his face. Arthur was curious on what the man was holding so he decided to follow him.
