Summary
a sort of "what if" alternate version of ch 16 of Vienna because I read it and thought, "Well, it could be worse, Ed. He could have shown up at asked you to bring Jason back with your 'magic.'" And then instead of doing the reasonable thing and leaving a comment I got distracted, forgot, remembered, got distracted by several other things, and then wrote it out as a (going off of the document in libreoffice) 3.5 page fic.
It really won't make sense without reading Vienna which, frankly, you should be reading instead of this anyway. -
