At first she thinks it’s endearing, cute even, that Jane keeps wearing his suit to bed. And in the air stream, or when they cuddle on his brown couch or in the back of a van on cases she doesn’t mind it one bit.
But when she wakes up for the third day in a row with a hard button pressed to her cheek, she doesn’t think it’s cute, or quirky or any other emotion she once might’ve felt whenever looking at his sleeping form dressed in outside clothes. She just thinks that it needs to stop.OR

A few hours later, Lisbon winds herself around his body, under his arm, as she helps him hobble out of the airport. The man he was before would call this a win. But this is not winning, this is his path back to that peace he had in her arms all those months ago. She has now seen him as he is: that trembling, dark animal in the road, flayed open to his grieving and greedy soul, unable to escape the horrors of the open road. But Lisbon has stopped the car for him. She’s taking him home.
Peace is coming.

Only, each new morning she wakes with him in her bed, warm and real and present in a way she’d never dared believe he could be, she can see it on his face. It’s a face she’s seen him wear before.
He isn’t sleeping. Not even for a minute.

Summary
Between picking up her dress and driving to the Airstream she also picks up a pregnancy test. By the time she gets there, taking it feels like nothing more than a formality. She’s had time while driving to do the math and it all adds up — especially her extremely out of character emotional outbursts.
But more than that, she just feels it.
