Summary
It was Lumine's first year in University, she had thought signing up for residence would be essential for her university experience, only until she realized her roommate, Xiao, constantly kept her up all night with his 'nightly activities'. Lumine then sought to her floor's RA, Childe, who she had a crush on. So she made an agreement with Xiao: giving him weekly payments to pretend to be her boyfriend to make Childe jealous and she gets her peace in return. Xiao seemed skeptical at the idea initially, but went along with it.
As they spend more time together as a 'fake' couple, they slowly began to question whether this fake relationship is slowly becoming real. But Xiao's fear of commitment and abandonment is becoming a barrier between the two of them.

You get a good job and hope it helps you get your little brother into a good academy. And you never expected to work for someone like Childe. You and he are from different worlds, and you, sometimes furtively take a look at him, think that you and he aren't destined to cross paths.
