Summary
Will has stomped out of the room before Mike can fully process his words. He is left sitting on the edge of the bed completely floored. He has never heard Will like this before. He’s never seen him this demanding. Mike is completely taken aback. It feels like something has slammed into his chest with great force and if he is being completely honest with himself it has left him feeling very flustered.

“No, I’m serious,” Will says, making Mike face him again and not letting up. “If I didn’t know any better I would go around telling people my boyfriend is made of, like, fairies and stardust. It would explain why your skin glows in the moonlight. You’re divine.”
Mike’s face scrunches up as he starts to say, “My skin does not—”
Will really shouldn’t enjoy it as much as he does, the speed at which Mike’s mouth snaps shut the second he wraps his hand around Mike’s throat. He doesn’t even have to squeeze, just the faintest pressure of Will’s fingers makes Mike lose his breath and all his words. No matter how much of a chatterbox Mike is in their every day lives, when he’s like this, Mike’s world always narrows down perfectly to Will. Just Will.

Summary
Mike came from a lineage of gunslingers (assassins), chosen by the Archangel Gabriel himself. At the age of five, he was trained by his mother’s twin sister, Noctis Childress. By ten, he gained his powers, by twelve, he lost them. This might change the story or not at all.
(This is a rewrite of Season 5 Vol. 2 to provide a backstory explaining why Mike started acting like he’d undergone a lobotomy—because, in this version, he actually did. Kind of?)

Summary
It's been six months since Will, Jane and the Byers moved to California. On their end, everything was just; okay. Will didn't mind California but he missed his friends and he could tell Jane also missed them, most of all Mike. Well that was mostly Will since Jane got constant letters from him.
Thought, in those letters, something up and changed suddenly. It was still Mike, it was his handwriting though something was clearly off. He wrote in monotone, almost machine like phrases but the worst part, was a polaroid he had sent in his most recent letter.
Don't you think the cold makes you feel alive?
His letters only became stranger after that.
