Summary
Sometimes, December can feel like a ticking time bomb more than anything. Aleks’ newfound bond with Jupiter leads him to invite them to his family’s Christmas party. Jupiter worries about the upcoming party, and begins to dwell on their relationship with their own family. Aleks is sick to his stomach with stress after his loyalties shifted away from the Foundation, and hopes he can find some peace at home. Yeah, good luck with that.
The old and the new clash hard, the Polish weather hits them all harder. Trying to ponder your own existence is hard when trashy Christmas music is playing in the background (but not impossible). Try and dodge uncomfortable questions from your relatives! This is the real holiday spirit.

Hello my fellow watchers!!! I thought that today I would post about a case that I haven't seen anyone discuss *in detail* on here. This one actually comes from my hometown of Vancouver! No, not the one in Canada, but in Washington State. Now, if you were to look this case up online, you might not spot anything at a first glance. Luckily for you, your wonderful poster has looked into this very thoroughly, and I can assure, not everything is as it seems. Let me set the scene for you.
The year is 2009. The Guidry family is happily living in their suburban home.
This work expands on the backstory of my OC from the fic "should seasons change for ill/remember, come what will", but very much can be read as a standalone. Be warned that this story contains spoilers for that fic.

Without any handy "Superhero Tailors" in sight, and any alternatives costing far too much, she sets out to cobble together a costume by herself. One that will not only serve her better, but also won't make her look like a crazy person.
'Costumes were a big point of contention when it came to superheroes. Men's versus women's, where do they get them from, how realistic they should be, or how colorful. Whether useless lines and panels were needed for live-action adaptations, or should they stick to the source material’s simplicity. And with the rise of the MCU, is it better to use nanotech or not (not, obviously).'

She waved her hand. "Just because your costume isn't a direct and intentional reference to some character, it doesn't mean you look any less crazy than me."
"It isn't a costume, it's just… something I put on!"
Rozalia chuckled. "Keep telling yourself that. You know, maybe you should get into cosplay instead of…whatever it is you're trying to do? It seems like a much better hobby."'

An ontokinesis expert and a thaumaturge interested in theology, both of them with very different opinions on DnD. They're forced to work with a gang of strange misfits who are infected with the parasite same as them to try to find a cure. And a way back. But tension stems from their constant conflicts with a certain member. Will their Foundation knowledge help their situation, or backfire?

'As she was thrown right back into the present, she accidentally shook the viper slightly, leaving it frightened. It whipped its head around, sinking its teeth into her flesh.
