Obviously you abscond with the doppelganger in the dead of night, but every action has consequences.
My first KLENA/KLAULENA storyIt has been a year since the sacrifice. Klaus and Elena came to an agreement that she would live a protected human life in exchange for her blood. Tensions are rising though because of his hybrids. The Salvatores do not want Elena to be under Klaus' thumb, and they want the hybrids gone. Elena has broken up with Stefan in this story, and she and Damon were never a thing. There is no Hayley story line. Esther never woke up and the Originals kind of broke apart after being roused from slumber. I'm planning on bringing in the other Originals at some point.

Summary
Once upon a time Elena Gilbert had a plan. A bright shiny plan - not to be confused with one of Caroline’s neurotic lists. Her’s was more generic. Grow up and go to school; figure out what she wanted to be; share a dorm with Bonnie and Caroline.
It was a nice plan.
The plan never included car crashes or vampire boyfriends, kidnapping (kinda?) or doppelgängers.
And what the heck is a doppelgänger?
She had a plan... once.
The plan didn’t include crying about a boyfriend’s ex or obtaining new passports in sketchy apartments.
She never asked for happily ever after; just normalcy.
She’s pretty sure life’s not meant to be this complicated.

Summary
Opposite the pile, the wall had been completely rearranged to make a blank screen, Law’s Germa 66 figures and Perona’s mini taxidermies hidden safely behind. The den-den projector snail sat dozing below, small stack of horror movies next to it.
Pink sheets hung from the ceiling, propped out into a circus tent by the pieces of bed and reached down until it grazed the floor. Just lower than the sheets was a drape of pink lace, lower still hung fairy lights, glowing soft pinks and yellows down over the fort.Law builds Perona her first blanket fort.

“I’ve got the evidence right here!” Perona bunched her skirts up her legs like a plushie.The Heart Pirates have noticed Perona is the only one who doesn't wear a boiler suit. Meanwhile Law has been engrossed by a recently released medical journal. Perona needs to make sure her stance on both of these things is made clear.
