He scowled, but opened a shadow portal under himself, sinking into the soothing darkness as he made his way to the familiar light shadow of his lover. Looks like it was time for him to put his big boy pants on and actually work for Wukong’s affection and forgiveness.
Macaque could only hope that Wukong wouldn’t be too upset with him. He tried not to think about the dark ‘what-if’s’ that included Wukong deciding that he wasn’t worth his time and effort anymore because it took him so fucking long to apologize.
(Or, 5 more times Macaque messed up and the time he got it perfectly.)
