Summary
The day before their scheduled Ministry home visit, Regulus spirals. Convinced one wrong detail could send him back to Grimmauld Place, he hides every “childish” thing he owns and stays up scrubbing the floors until his hands burn. Sirius finds him in the middle of the night, shaking and whispering "he’ll be good, he’ll stop crying, he’ll stop needing things, just please don’t let them take him away".
The morning brings the mandatory private interview, and Regulus breaks again, begging the healer not to change the custody order. But instead of judgement, he gets something he’s never had: reassurance. By the end of the visit he has an official report, an unofficial handwritten promise in his pocket, his dragon slippers back on his feet, and the quiet certainty that, for once, he’s in the right place, and he’s staying.

Summary
Regulus and James are finally settling into the fragile rhythm of their “maybe”, secret kisses in storage closets, stolen moments between classes, and the electric joy of wanting someone they’re not sure they’re allowed to have. Things are messy and careful and sweet, right up until Sirius Black overhears one single, catastrophically incriminating line and immediately launches into a full-volume breakdown in the middle of the corridor.
What follows is pure chaos, Sirius screaming, James panicking, Regulus threatening to flee the country, and Remus forcibly herding all three of them into a classroom for a Very Serious Relationship Intervention. Wolfstar are together (and thriving), Sirius’ protective big brother instincts go nuclear, and James and Regulus try to explain their not-quite-a-relationship to an audience that absolutely wasn’t supposed to find out yet.
Long kisses, accidental hickeys, sibling drama, found-family softness, and a very tired Remus Lupin trying to mediate four emotionally unstable boys at once.

Summary
Sirius thinks the custody battle is almost over, but the paperwork disagrees. A Ministry letter summons him to a follow-up meeting with the Black family’s solicitors, a room full of long words and longer grudges, and this time, he has to go alone.
Regulus hears “Black” and “meeting” and “overnight” and immediately spirals. He clings to Sirius all the way to the Apparition point, bargaining with good behaviour like it’s still a currency that might buy him safety. Sirius promises he’ll come back in the morning. Regulus wants to believe him.
Left at home with Remus, Regulus makes it through the day on schedules and tile-naming, but night is not so kind. He wakes on the couch in the dark, confused and sobbing, convinced he’s driven Sirius away for good. Remus talks him back from the edge with slow breathing, stories, and a Welsh pet name that slips out by accident and changes everything.
By the time Sirius finally stumbles back through the front door, Regulus is asleep in Remus’s arms under a pile of blankets, dragon slippers on guard. It wasn’t an easy night, but they all survive the bits in between and Sirius keeps his promise: he leaves, and he comes back.
