    Summary

“Why do you think you’re from a different world?” Mydei asks.

“Last night, I went to sleep in the same bedroom as you in the house we've had since last year,” Phainon says. “This morning, I woke up in an unfamiliar room that looks like it was built a thousand years ago. You weren’t in bed with me, there wasn’t a wedding band on my finger, and”—his eyes flicker to Mydei’s chest, a fiery blush blooming on his face—“you’re half-naked.”

“We sleep together?” Mydei asks, surprised.

    Phainon deadpans.

    “We’re married.”

(Phainon finds himself in a modern Amphoreus where he and Mydei have been married for years. Mydei finds himself with a Phainon that claims the two of them are married.)

    Summary

The second Titanomachy is over, which means most demigods could take a break. Nico Di Angelo isn't "most demigods", though, and taking a break isn't an easy thing to do when he’s the new Ambassador of Olympus. Avoiding various apocalypses, discovering new Pantheons, surviving being in close proximity of Gods and Goddesses, kicking Zeus' ass at every oppportunity, sniffing out conspiracies and threats, and worst of all—socializing.

    Summary

“I fear I have much to attend to in Castrum Kremnos and Amphoreus,” he says stiffly. “I must decline your…generous offer.”

The Xianzhou native clicks her tongue disapprovingly. “That wasn’t an offer, Prince Mydeimos.”

“I’ll be frank with you. As it currently stands, we of the Xianzhou Alliance have nothing else of value to gain from Amphoreus and all the reason in the world to let slip that Irontomb hides here.” Grand Marshal Hua’s eyes flash as she lifts her chin. “There are many in this world who would seek vengeance against Irontomb for their losses.”

Mydeimos’ blood chills in his veins, molten gold turning to ice as her words drop from her lips. “You would threaten such a thing? There are countless innocent lives on Amphoreus.”

“No price is too great in the path of the Hunt,” the Marshal declares. “What is a few hundred thousand lives in comparison to the trillions already lost to the Abundance?”

    //

The Hunt is not kind to those who refuse its call. Mydeimos, borne of Destruction and the Hunt, is unfortunately of interest to forces far greater than he can hope to resist.

    Summary

    Mydei’s hand was beautiful.

Not a single jagged fingernail, no callus in sight. And very warm—startlingly so, against Phainon’s own rougher grip. It was a very stark difference, in fact, it even left him slightly unsettled, feeling like he was holding something he had no right to.

“...You can let go now. My hand is fine.” Mydei said evenly.

Phainon didn't want to. If anything, he wanted to hold both of them, tuck them between his own, gently trace his thumb across his knuckles—maybe even kiss them—

    “Deliverer?”

    “Your hand is… really pretty.”

Or: Mydei’s hands are the key that unlocks Phainon to come to terms/realise his feelings.

    Summary

The plan was to let Chartonus hold onto it until the right time. But the thought of parting with the ring to anyone other than Mydei felt like a punch straight to his stomach. Mydei’s punch to be precise.

So Phainon would keep it safe. Until the right time and opportunity comes for the ring to return to its rightful owner. And what place is safer than his own fingers?

    Or

Instead of giving the signet ring to Chartonus, Phainon impulsively puts it on his finger
