Summary
Merlin was carefully rounding the curve when someone unexpectedly ran into him. He made an embarrassing agggghhh sound and fell backward down the stairs, scattering the books he was carrying all over the ground.
“Ouch,” he groaned.
He could hear muffled sounds coming from the person that had knocked him down, but for a moment he could only concentrate on his laptop piercing into his spine.
“Are you alright?” a voice asked.
“T’s alright,” Merlin answered, and accepted a hand to help him sit up.
He then lifted his gaze and when his eyes met diamond blue, he pulled his arm away as though it had been burned. The other man drew his eyebrows together in confusion, but Merlin could only stare at him in shock.
In a rattle of breath, he faintly whispered, “Arthur?”***
Or: Arthur doesn't understand why this raven-haired vegan stalker feels like his destiny, and Merlin just wants to kiss his Achilles.

Summary
A story that chronicles the lives of our gang as teachers and students leading up to the winter holidays. Merlin and Arthur are dumb face in love as usual, but it takes them a while to get any traction. Merlin has a lot to learn and Arthur just cares too damn much. Their colleagues are fed up, the kids are okay, Merlin and Arthur can't catch a break, and everyone loves Gwen. So not much different than canon.
