Summary
Kaveh thought he’d escaped Alhaitham after countless online debates, pointed emails, and minor humiliations from all those years ago. He was wrong. Very, very wrong. Thanks to Cyno and Tighnari, he lands a lead on a apartment… only to discover that the "landlord" is none other than his ex-academic rival, debate nemesis, and the only person who ever read him like an open book. Now they’re roommates by contract, enemies by habit, and somehow stuck under the same roof. Rules are simple: don’t touch each other’s things, don’t correct each other’s grammar, and absolutely do not, under any circumstances, bring up that debate about brutalism from years ago.

Summary
“I told you, you can stay for as long as you need to. There is no rush,” Alhaitham explains as he takes a seat on the loveseat farthest away from the couch.
“As if I want to stay in your vicinity any longer than I have to,” Kaveh contends as he glowers at him. “The sooner I’m out of here, the better.”
“You’re the one that wanted to break up,” he reminds him.
Always quick to remind Kaveh of the things he does, but unwilling to admit his own faults, or why they broke up in the first place. Typical.
“Yeah,” Kaveh grits his teeth in frustration as he sits up and glares at Alhaitham, “and you readily agreed to it. Like you do with everything. It’s always that passive, disinterested ‘whatever’ response of yours that I’ve always hated that got us here, not me.”
After a rough breakup, Kaveh and Alhaitham take a trip down memory lane through their social media posts, and realize that they still have some regrets.

Senior year. Their last year at the Akademiya. It had taken nearly four whole years of the two of them circling around each other with clever words, pining glances, and a tension that could be felt by all to finally get it right. Four years until Kaveh finally broke down over a glass or two of wine and admitted that, for all of Alhaitham’s prickliness, there was no single person in the world that would ever make him feel the way Alhaitham did.
And Alhaitham had pressed him on that. ‘Feel’. ‘Feel’ what?
And Kaveh had told him. He had passionately rambled for almost an hour about how the sky was bluer when he was at his side, how challenges felt a little less daunting when he had Alhaitham as a sounding board and his support at the end of the day. How the scent of him, as faint as it was, felt like a home Kaveh had been longing for for over a decade. Every feeling was better because of him. Even the bad ones.
How could he not fall in love with someone like that?
There's a nasty virus going around that has Alhaitham and Kaveh locked inside their shared apartment. Or, they're fighting, Kaveh's heat is soon, and his luck is just terrible.

Summary
There it was. The words of which he did not know the meaning of. Big words. Words that felt faintly familiar, like he could remember what they meant if he tried hard enough. Words he had seen in papers or studies, maybe in a crossword years ago.
“I’m sorry.” Kaveh couldn’t react right away, he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to be feeling just yet. “Multiple sclera-what?”
“Multiple sclerosis.” The doctor corrected. Kaveh nodded, once. He thought that was the normal thing to do when presented with new information. “It’s an autoimmune disorder that mainly affects your central nervous system. It causes breakdown of the protective covering of the nerves, also known as the myelin cover.”
“My nerves…” Kaveh started the sentence but the air inside his lungs felt heavier than the air out of his body. He felt something drop inside his body. “…are being stripped of their covers?”

“I told you. I’m not upset. There’s no need to conceal it now. The fact that our current relationship is based upon you using me for my body heat in the Winter is something I can come to terms with.”
“What?” Instant incredulity. It had worked. The results would begin to manifest. Kaveh crossed his arms, perhaps as a sign of defence or just to warm his hands. “You’re not serious. How could you come to such an inane conclusion?”
“You’re saying it’s unfounded? From what I can recall, you initiated a romantic relationship at the beginning of winter.”
Kaveh was colouring. A promising sign of heightened blood circulation. “Not that it matters. It’s hardly even cold then. Not to such an extent, at least.”
“That’s true.” He considered, and then came upon it. “But our physical relationship began a month later.”
The red mottling Kaveh’s neck was expedient, mounting his face. “So?”
“That month was reported to be the coldest winter in five years.”
“You-!” Kaveh said nothing else.
(Alhaitham hypothesises an alternative method to Kaveh's ineffectively stealing his body heat during Winter - bickering. It proves successful, before it backfires.)

He had a fun night with Tighnari, Cyno, and Alhaitham at Lambads. Nilou had taken him to get a new outfit. Even Alhaitham had backed off a bit. Yet, only horrible things could fill his mind.”

With a cheerful beep, Mehrak releases the claymore, letting it clatter harmlessly to the floor.
Neither of them speaks.
Alhaitham stands motionless at the edge of the bed, eyes still fixed on the fallen weapon. Above them, Mehrak hums contentedly, hovering like nothing had happened.
“Explain,” Alhaitham demands.
Kaveh has recently moved back in, but the relationship between him and Alhaitham is still strained. When he overworks himself and falls ill, it's up to Mehrak to defend his master against the evil Alhaitham.

Summary
Cyno and Alhaitham don't get along, and that worries Lumine and Paimon. Cyno clearly doesn't fully trust Alhaitham, and Alhaitham clearly doesn't care enough to try to get along. So it's up to her and Paimon to smooth things out and make them like each other, so they're not at each other's throats while saving Nahida.
So Lumine throws herself into a desperate plot to make Cyno pity Alhaitham, in hopes of that making him trust him and stop viewing him as a spy for the Sages.
Naturally when it comes to Alhaitham's hardships, that inevitably turns to his massive fight with Kaveh, and to Lumine's horror she learns both Cyno and Alhaitham happen to know this Kaveh guy.And more importantly, both of them refuse to believe that the other one truly knows Kaveh. Because if Kaveh was truly Cyno's friend, wouldn't he have mentioned Alhaitham to Cyno? And wouldn't he have spoken about Cyno to Alhaitham?
Kaveh's desperation to keep two factions of his life separate, and for people to not learn Alhaitham is his roommate, including his friends, ends up hurting him, as much to Lumine's horror Cyno and Alhaitham are sent into a spiral of one-upping each other on Kaveh knowledge.

Summary
As a broke architecture student, Kaveh finds himself working in a slightly shady flower shop in the heart of Sumeru City. It's a job that helps him pay his bills and lends him plenty of time to study when he's not actively dealing with the clients.
He's not quite sure what it is, but something changes on one particular Wednesday, when a black bike parks next to the shop he works in.“Your partner must be incredibly fortunate to have you by their side. Um. There you go, your total is fifteen thousand.”
The guy nods, gently folding the note into four and placing it inside one of the multiple pockets of his jacket. Kaveh wonders if he wears this thing all year long. The sound of simple plastic wrap being picked up is too loud in the small shop. The grey-haired man looks at the bouquet for almost a minute, counts out Mora—Kaveh expects an exit with no ‘Goodbyes,’ just like on the other two visits.
Teal eyes shift from the bouquet to Kaveh’s badge for a second, and that’s when he’s addressed again.
“Good day, Kaveh.”

"How long will this last?" Kaveh asked.
"Well, the report says that it'll last for about a few hours, given the amount of exposure Alhaitham had been under. The side-effects should continue to heighten, then he'll stay like that for a while before he starts to come back down. And if he’s lucky, it’ll be gentle."
Alhaitham has accidentally become victim to a potent blend of catnip, and Tighnari has asked for Kaveh to take care of him.

When he realized that Alhaitham had been acting...strange ever since the night Kaveh got drunk and Alhaitham broke his hearing aids, Kaveh did what he was best at: he denied that there was a problem and ran away to the desert to clear his head and pretend it never happened.
When he came back, Alhaitham was drunk and, according to Tighnari, did it regularly because he was moping. But that couldn't be right. Alhaitham hated him.
