Summary
“Um,” Javadi’s voice was choked as she tried to force a smile. Her eyes were bloodshot and filled with tears. “Hey, Santos. I- Can I stay with you? For a night?”
And for the first time in ten months, Trinity considered what being a fourth year medical student before being even twenty-one years old meant. “Yeah. Yeah, come in, come on.”
Or

Summary
“Teach me.”
That did take the surgical resident’s eyes off her phone. Yolanda turned toward her, confusion softening her expression.
“Perdón?”
“Teach me how to dance,” Trinity said, shifting her weight slightly under Yolanda’s gaze. “You always do it. I want to learn.”
A soft smile appeared on Yolanda’s face, lingering for only a second before it sharpened into something teasing. “You wanna add another scar to my foot?”
“I’m Filipina. I can dance,” Trinity shot back, confidence wobbling just enough to betray her.
Yolanda tilted her head, unimpressed. “If it’s anything like what I saw when we went out last week—”
“I was drunk,” Trinity cut in quickly, the words slipping out with a small whiny edge she immediately regretted.
Yolanda laughed, the sound easy and familiar, before reaching back to restart the song. Her phone landed somewhere on the couch without much thought as she turned toward Trinity again, extending an arm in silent invitation.

Summary
Trinity was supposed to be off the clock in an hour when she got dragged into an incoming trauma. She never expected to end up holding a live rocket lodged in the patient’s chest.
With every second that passes, Trinity realizes that if the bomb goes off, the one thing she’ll regret most is leaving behind the woman she loves without ever telling her.
Inspired by @lilpaigeyyy on twitter and Grey's Anatomy season 2 episodes 16 & 17.

Summary
“Oh my god,” Dennis swivels in his seat to face her. “You’re like that one song.”
She blinks at him. “What?”
“You know, that one Lucy Dacus song. The one where she goes like, "you've got a nine to five, so I’ll take the night shift”.” He croons the lyrics in a warbly tune.
Trinity sort of hates how cheeks flush red at the realization that that’s sort of what she’s doing. “Shut the fuck up, Huckleberry.”
or
Trinity starts taking shifts at night – if only to avoid the one person she’s desperately tried to forget after a month of not talking. Her absence doesn’t go unnoticed by Yolanda.
(or, alternatively: trinity, yolanda, and how they probably shouldn't be working out their feelings at two in the morning).
