    The faint colour that had been on the alderman’s face ever since setting foot onto the mountain suddenly darkens. Watching the elder Witcher leave, and the omega take his place, a spluttered sound escapes from the alderman’s lips before any semblance of words. “Forgive me, my lord, but we are here for an audience with the White Wolf.”

    The omega’s chin lifts. “Yes, well, my lord husband will be otherwise engaged. You may speak with me, alderman,” he huffs, gathering the lapels of his cloak and sitting neatly into Geralt’s usual spot. Eskel obediently falls to his side, broad arms set crossed over a broader chest. The Wolf’s unblinking amber eyes watch their guests, never straying too far from the alderman or his armoured guard. Jaskier sighs as he settles back into the chair. “What seems to be your business here?”
