Will Graham is released from jail and goes directly to Hannibal's home to find evidence proving that Hannibal is the Chesapeake Ripper. Unfortunately, Hannibal comes home at the same time and catches Will in the act. Nothing good follows.

Will Graham is a trainee working for the FBI and Jack Crawford's last hope for catching the elusive Chesapeake Ripper. While investigating a potential lead on Jack's behalf, Will meets the Ripper face-to-face. But rather than kill him, the Ripper takes him captive, intending to use him to his own advantage.
But as time goes on, it becomes less clear just who has captured who...
Basically, a re-telling of Hannibal in which Will is Miriam Lass, and instead of (I presume??) keeping his victim in a medically induced coma in an undisclosed location, Hannibal falls hopelessly in love with him.

“Better how?” Hannibal asked him.
Will looked in the direction of the window, but the curtains were closed and clean of any cobwebs by now. “Better than us,” he explained. “Than me and you. A real, breathing being to fill the emptiness of this house.”
Will Graham feels like something is missing in his life. Hannibal offers to help. But the two of them couldn't just be normal parents, could they?
