Summary
Although the world was never anything close to a utopia for omegas, even before the dead started walking, afterwards things got downright dire. Generally smaller and more prone to stress, it's no surprise that they're the first ones to be cast aside and left for dead. And any packs that they do end up within tend to go even worse.
Techno's seen it himself enough times to know. It's firsthand knowledge.
Luckily for Techno, the majority of his childhood was spent in extremely high stress scenarios, malnourished and never feeling safe. Which means that all of his omega nonsense is so stunted that he practically isn't even one! He is set on keeping everyone under that impression, no matter what it takes.
Even if this new pack seems startlingly different from everything that he was used to before.

Summary
Techno doesn't know what made his father break. The world ending, the dead starting to walk, or maybe his mother dying. All three, probably. But it doesn't really matter, because someone has to handle keeping them all alive. And the only one that can do it now is him.
Then Techno gets bit. And he still has to be the one to handle it.

Summary
Techno hadn’t gotten out of the car.
The social worker had tried to get him to move but he hadn’t. He just sat there, staring straight ahead, his face half covered by a sweep of jagged hair.
Phil went out to talk to them, smiling that big smile he did every time government or official people came by and the social worker seemed to sag into a friendly shrug, leaving Techno alone in the car. Phil said he was gonna take the lead on this one, and that it would be better for Wil to stay indoors while they got introduced. He said it could be a bit overwhelming.
Wilbur thought that was bullshit, but he’d obeyed anyway. Anxiously waiting in on the couch to see his twin for the first time in 3 years.

The red light is blinking.
Techno wonders vaguely if the recorder picks up the sound of him swallowing back tears, the soft whimper when he shifts too far and his burns rub against his sleeves. It doesn't matter, he supposes. The light is still blinking, it's still on, and the person behind him is waiting, silent. Eyes burning into him. It's time to put on a show, Techno knows that. He does. He doesn't want to.
How did it come to this? How did he let this happen? Techno stares into the shadows behind the red light, where he can imagine his dad is standing when it gets really bad, and he- how did it go again?
Oh, right.

Summary
Techno knew that the Antarctic Empire was doing well for itself, of course, but its capital seems to be booming. It's nothing like the dying streets of Hypixel, full of starving people and desperate merchants willing to do almost anything to turn the tides of the war. There, people practically threw themselves at him when they recognized his church cloak.
But maybe that was why no one was approaching him- they didn't realize he was a church member. Techno wasn't in his church clothes anymore, wasn't allowed to wear them at all. The elders had said he had to be careful here and not to tell anyone that the Blood God had come to Flower Fall. The Emperor didn't want their church within the borders of the empire, much less the walls of the capital. He'd kill them if he knew, hunt them down from the very skies above them, which Techno thought was a ridiculous notion. What kind of ruler tells people what they can and can't worship, especially a religion with a god that was going to save everyone? The nerve of some governments.
OR- child Technoblade comes to the Antarctic Empire to spread the word of the Blood God and change the tide of the war, but gets adopted along the way.
