The thought was absurd, and probably fueled by sheer delusion, but why exactly Dynamight was choosing this interaction to showcase his more verbose side escaped you. It was a far departure from the grunts and head-shaking that were his TV interviews. For once, that would have been more welcome than his baritone nagging.
“I can see fine,” you spoke shortly, rolling your eyes. “Just didn’t expect the pillar behind me to be a person.” You looked at him pointedly, shifting the blame and hoping you came off less whiny and more… flirty? Oh god, did you mean for that to come out flirty?
Bakugou’s bark-like laughter interrupted your thoughts as he handed over your things that he’d miraculously already gathered, all while you’d been stuck in your own internal monologue.
“He’s calling you in on a Saturday so you decided to walk into traffic to avoid it?” You guffawed, shrugging noncommittally at the sentiment before he continued. “Can’t believe that nerd is working a civilian to the bone.”
