“Yes,” Geralt replied without hesitation and Jaskier felt his chest tightening once more with that feeling he steadfastly refused to put a name to.
“Then why ---” Jaskier started but could not finish.
“Because Jaskier, I was angry and foolish and if I had just kept my tongue a moment longer...”
Jaskier leaned towards Geralt, looking into his eyes, “I didn’t know you cared.”
