Hazel listens to the faint shuffling of feet and the morning hum of the office. After a soft silence, she picks up what sounded like Tammy bending into somebody’s office space, then coming to a faint whispering fit. Tammy returns on the line.
[“No you’re not.”]
Hazel’s eyes became saucers, the water she was swishing in her mouth spewing all over the sink. She groans, disgusted, wiping the wet residue from the corner of her mouth, scowling into her reflection.
“...What?”
