Summary
I think more skilled fanfic-ers would call this whump.
This follows Astarion as he learns that not everybody is out to get him. In the meantime, they save the world or whatever. This is a rewrite of my earlier fic that keeps his character closer to what it is in-game (oops, I made him meaner).
But here's the deal: There's graphic depictions of violence. Probably not a surprise. But there is also mentions of non-con. There are no super detailed accounts or anything, but... Astarion has had a bit of a rough un-life. You know the deal. I'll try to put in specific warnings for each chapter as we go. I also stole some bits from my other work, so if something seems super familiar (particularly any scenes that use script from the game), that's why.
There is a bit of smut eventually, but I'll let you know beforehand.Series

Not once had he met Jaskier, hadn’t exchanged a single word, and yet Geralt knew exactly how to fuck him.
Whatever flag should have blown in the wind, Geralt didn’t see it. He’d continued on, had followed Jaskier to the grocery and back, had made sure he came back out of the club he’d gone into. His job suffered, a little, but it was more than worth knowing Jaskier wouldn’t end up drugged and gangbanged in a corner.
Everything he did, he did for him.

Summary
Look, Jaskier's got a lot going on. He's painfully aware that there are cataclysmic events happening and that the troubled teenager he knows might save the world or speed along the end of days. He's also in love with a man who's never even admitted that they're friends, which is almost as bad.
Oh, and he's still working as the Sandpiper, only now a terrifying eldritch creature has entrusted him with the Song of the Seven to give hope to the elves and help them fight back against their oppression. It's probably the bravest thing he's ever done, but not everyone sees it that way.
Luckily he knows some people who excel at last minute rescues.
... then he just has to figure out how to tell Geralt why so many people are trying to kill him. This is going to go great.

Amazingly sweet and dramatic geraskier story. Yet sweet does not quite cover it. It is also... Larger than life, and yet so very intimate. A great story about love, history, destiny, and doing the right thing - no matter how small and insignificant one might think one's actions are.
Also - Jaskier is tortured ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Summary

The summary reminds me very much if the relationship between my own character Dilshad and my friend's character Kiril. So sweet! Queer platonic love for the win!
