Even then the word seemed to catch in my ear. Now. Maybe once before and perhaps one day soon, but not just yet. On that point I had no illusions. Solas was not a man to promise forever, though he was afraid of dying alone.

It began with a knife in the dark, a pendant and a promise, and an explosion that shook the world. From the ashes of war come the heroes of the Dragon Age. Spanning all three games and some associated DLCs, Dances in Darkness is a chronological telling of the Dragon Age story following the lives of the Hero of Ferelden, the Champion of Kirkwall, and the Inquisitor as they struggle against all odds to save Thedas.
Some Alternate Universe for story, particularly as the tale progresses, because characters will be crossing paths. Warnings posted in the notes of each chapter.
