Summary
After trying to do the right thing ruins Akira's life, she feels like a shell of her former self. Disowned, branded a violent prostitute, shipped off to live in a stranger's attic, forced to attend a school that doesn't want her, and facing targeted harassment from staff and student alike; her downward spiral seems to be rapidly approaching terminal velocity.
But the onset of strange dreams and a stranger reality offer both an impossible hope and even greater challenges. The real question now is whether she'll be able to keep herself together long enough to see it all through.
