Mayor Tomoyo stood at the desk on the far end of the room. Sōma stood hovering just to her left. The curtains were half drawn, and the door to the adjacent room on the left was fully closed. The lights were on at full brightness, with no one else in the room aside from Mayor Tomoyo, Sōma, and now himself.

Shen Yuan wakes up to the sound of crying.
He lies there for a moment, feeling like cling film stretched too tightly over something pointy, in danger of tearing down the middle but holding on by his fingernails. It’s dark, it’s smelly and he is laying face down against a heated stone floor, or maybe it’s just some faux stone tiles for the nature aesthetic. It feels like his brain got replaced with moss or cotton or balled up, wet paper towels that’s coming apart. In the stretched out moment where he takes it all in, he decides this fucking place sucks, and he will never visit again.
The crying is to his left.

Summary

But when Liu Qingge disappears, the people starts whispering, and the suspicion towards Shen Qingqiu grows. He returns to the mountain bloodied and bruised, only to be met with distrust, rumors, and silence. No one knows what happened in the caves, and Shen Qingqiu has no intention of telling them.
He'll raise this child alone, if he has to. He’s always been alone, afterall.
Until the truth is dragged into the light, and everyone – especially Liu Qingge – must reckon with what’s been buried under silence, shame, and scars.

Summary
Even though PIDW suddenly became an omegaverse, Shen Qingqiu considered himself lucky that the original goods was a beta. Although it was a beta that would be turned into a human stick, still, a beta nonetheless. However, the original goods had a mysterious chronic illness that even Mu Qingfang could not heal. Often suffering headaches, cramps and exhaustion, he was glad to discover that the alpha scent of the protagonist could relieve him of his sickness. With Luo Binghe in his side chamber, he could keep him and his scent close.
However, when the white lotus turned eighteen and started to present, Shen Qingqiu realised that he might have kept Luo Binghe a little too close. Even a beta got into trouble when the protagonist went into rut.
