Summary
If you’ve visited either of us before, you know we enjoy writing discipline-related stories. And, although we both write other types of stories as well, we thought it would be fun to challenge each other to write alternate versions (or "B Sides") of our "regular" fics or sometimes alternate scenes from canon, at first just to entertain each other... but now hopefully to entertain you as well. Some chapters in this collection include an addendum to other fics we’ve written so feel free to check out the original and compare it with this slightly spicier version!
It probably goes without saying at this point but these stories involve corporal punishment (of minors, teens and adults) but that does not in any way reflect our view of these things in the real world.

“Me neither, I keep—!” Rex sucked in a breath, stopping himself before his voice rose too high. “I keep thinking: what if he might’ve lived...?”
Rik sighed. "I’ve got no choice but to keep it from her.”
“So,” Rex said, hating the air of finality coating his tone, “you’ll live your whole life a lie?”
Perhaps he shouldn’t have been surprised when Rik nodded heavily, but he was. Shocked to his very core.
“A lot of people live that way. Only most of them don’t have good reasons like we do..."Too soon after the hell that was Umbara, Rex's only surviving batchmate admits to mercy-killing a Jedi general, thrusting Rex into a desperate struggle against his conscience—a struggle that threatens to drive a stake between his friendship with Fives and destroy everything he once thought to be right.

“He does it to protect you,” Remus whispers, accidentally spilling his thoughts in the darkness.
“Wish he didn’t,” Sirius whispers back, so quiet that Remus probably wouldn’t have heard him if he wasn’t a werewolf. “It’s unfair.”
“How so?” Remus murmurs in return, his brows furrowed; something Sirius, of course, can’t see.
“I want to protect him too,” Sirius replies and his voice is hollow. “We were supposed to protect each other. Or I, mostly, since I’m older.”
“By minutes Sirius.” It slips out of his mouth before he even registers the thought.
“Still,” Sirius mutters brokenly. “He wants to protect me, which I suppose he does but he’s also leaving me in absolute misery. It’s hell Remus, not knowing where he is. My magic still searches for his, you know?”
Remus doesn't, but nods anyway.
