He's going to regret that as he becomes a mentor, sort of fails upwards into a position of pseudo-authority, discovers a bunch of stuff about Windclan he'd rather not know, struggles with his place in the clan and in the world, loses his sense of purpose from time to time and overthinks all of the things; all the while his family laughts at, and sometimes with, him.
He does get a boyfriend in the process, tho.

Summary
Seasons after seasons, Clans cats lived, loved, died. They faced challenges but there was always a new prophecy, always good-hearted, Starclan devoted, warriors and medicine cats to help the Clans thriving and surviving.
Until there were none.Starclan is long forgotten in the Forest, and the Clans are barely clans anymore. They are filled with defiance, hatred and selfishness. There are cats able to help in each of the four clans, but each of them is so isolated they can't recognise the others.
Starclan continues to try reaching these Hopes in order to fulfill their prophecy and restore the Old Times.The latest Hope is still a kit when she meets them, and has grown outside the Clans. But their last tentative exploded nastily, so Bluestar and Crookedstar send the five moons old Feather in the torment of what is left of their old clans.
There, Feather learns what being power-thirsty, driven by hate or ambition, and utterly alone means. But she also sees for herself what can be done to help the Clans.
She find friends, she finds love.

Lavenderpaw is the last apprentice left in Duskclan. Her mother is dead. Her clanmates tell her to “move on.” The Star Forest stays silent, and so does her only remaining kin.
Sunpaw has always felt like an outsider. He was raised by a queen who wasn't his mother, and now? Well, there isn't much left of Dawnclan after That Night.
Amberpaw doesn't remember the bloodshed. But he can still taste it in the air, taste the fear from everyone else. Stormclan had been largely spared, but the horror still lingers. Nobody wants to tell him the truth, while that's all he seeks.
Hailkit can see dead cats. But nobody ever believes her, thinking it's just the brain of a kit who saw death. But she knows better. Because the dead never lie.
And the dead don't stay silent either. They never have.
tl;dr A generational trauma-mystery where the living must confront the dark legacies of the dead, aided by the unwilling visions of a child.

Summary
Bloodclan suffers. In the aftermath of Scourge‘s unexpected defeat, the clan from twoleg-place is left without leadership. From Bloodclan‘s veteran warriors, several cats step forth, each claiming the right to lead the clan, breaking it into opposing factions in the process. Warriors that were clanmates are now at each others throats, growing hostilities, dwindling food and harsh leafbares, pushing them toward a bloody war for reunification. In this chaos, Talon tries to protect the cats in his charge, danger and stress beginning to rapidly pile up upon his shoulders.
At the same time in Thunderclan, a warrior with a broken heart and shattered confidence tries to regain what he perceives as lost, unaware that more eyes rest on him than he thought.Story starts in early Eclipse, with a few notable difference. The prophecy of the Three is going as it canonically does, but the Blood spilling Blood prophecy has yet to pass.
Most main events of the series play out mostly canonically alongside the events of this story.
The events of Graystripe's Vow are not canon for this AU.
The great journey happened like in the main series, however it turned out to be an overly long way around the same twoleg-place.Series
