Reid stops walking and turns to face her, brows furrowed. "You asked me to stop talking about that."
"Only because we were in a movie theatre. I'm interested."
His brows furrow further, eyes narrowing as well like he's trying to suss out whether or not she's lying to him, and then drift over her shoulder, to some point behind her, and widen.
She frowns, turning around and trying to follow his gaze, but she can't figure out what he's looking at. There are still quite a lot of people milling about even at this late hour, though she supposes that's Vegas—or the outskirts of Vegas—for you, but nobody looks at all threatening. The most out-of-place person is a sharply-dressed man carrying a briefcase amongst all the people in going-out attire, but it's not like he's brandishing a weapon at them. "Reid, what—"
"Dad?"
OR: William Reid is a terrible parent, and Emily Prentiss is a wonderful friend.

Summary
They all do their best at ignoring inter team profiling. They get good at it, or they wash out. Hotch does his best to not notice when Reid’s fingers won’t fucking stop tapping against his leg or when he adds four extra spoons of sugar to his coffee. Hotch gets good at letting Morgan talk to Reid, or at least he tries to. Hotch gets good at bumping Reid’s coffee away from him, utilizing the same bravery most attribute to disarming IEDs.
Sometimes though, Reid lies so obviously they can’t let it go.

Summary
Derek knew. In his stomach and his chest, the ache was there, and it was implicative of a deeper issue. Spencer wouldn’t act like this if he didn’t have a reason to and it was obvious when his behaviour changed. Failing a test was one thing. Failing with a total zero, lashing out whenever it’s mentioned and refusing to return to the gun-range was an entirely different thing, and not a good one.
