This is probably not going to be very good but Lighthouse demanded ransom this struck me. It's not what was demanded but now I am hyperfocused and there is no going back.
Wings can tell you everything about a person, or so that is what everyone says. The lighter the wing the more powerful your ability is. The more balance between big and small wings the more perfect you are. The number of wing pairs determine how good your fortune will be. Your soulmate will share your power, balance, and luck making a perfectly paired match.
Morgan is the complete opposite of this perfection. Wings dark as ink and four large pairs, they scream wrongness, as their parents like to put it. In a family of powerful, balanced, and fortunate people, Morgan is a stain upon the family name as dark as their wings.
Alex is a being that, by the Fairness Association's standard, should not exist. Wings with feathers like the blessed but horns and tail like the demons. His power eclipses all others, knowing no bound. Black wings stained red with blood create fear and confusion.

Neil and Andrew won't be able to do it on their own. Just because they can keep the girls doesn't mean they can properly care for them, something they are painfully familiar with. Luckily their foxes are more than willing to help them step up to the challenge, whether they are ready for it or not.
