And he was sixteen when he was sent on his first solo mission and met one Leonardo Hamato who claims that ghosts aren’t real.
__________Usagi had wanted to be a ghost hunter for as long as he could remember, its where he belonged. Finally, Aunty sends him on his first solo mission where he maybe makes a friend along the way.

“What did you do!-” he stopped for a second, inspecting Leo with his eyes. “Kappa! I think you’re a Kappa.”
“Kappa?” Leo responded, just as confused.
“Why did you bring me here?!”
“Okay- Calm down! I can make portals, but that one wasn’t mine. Mine are way nicer and blue.”
Leo took one of his swords and made a portal. In a split second, he was behind the rabbit.
“See? nice and blu- Wow!” Maybe not the best idea to appear out of nowhere behind the scared rabbit who was ready to fight. He was attacking Leo now. Which was so mean! Since he tried to help him before, kinda.
Or a bunny falls out of a portal directly into a trash container. Cute!

Usagi looks at him for a moment, blinks, and then startles, quickly reaching out his hand, like it was some vital step he forgot before and is a little scared to do now.
It's a bit pathetic, but Leo shakes his hand anyway.

But it was everyone else who was wrong. Raph was the only one who was living in reality.
“Leo. Isn’t. Dead.”
_________________It's been two years since Leo's disappearance. The city has erected a monument in Bryant Park to honor and mourn New York's bravest young hero.
While Leo's statue sits in the park, Raph sits in therapy. Everyone believes Raph is too traumatized, too wounded to process the loss of his brother.
But there's something Raph can't explain, something only he can feel, something everybody wants him to ignore. It whispers softly somewhere in the deepest corners of his mind: he's still here.

Summary
Donnie collided with Leo in a tangle of limbs. There was an instinctive cling in return from his twin, before the realization sunk in.
"No." Leo breathed in his ear, immediately shattered. "No, no, no, no, no!”
Every muscle in Donnie's body was shaking like an earthquake from the amount of effort he'd just expended. The explosion caught up to them, sending the twins spiralling away into space and debris.
For one singular moment, Donnie allowed himself a burst of victory. His heart was still thudding a thousand miles an hour in his chest, having been absolutely terrified he wasn't going to make it in time. But he did. And he held onto Leo, his prize.
Then they hit the ground, the sudden tumble bursting them apart. Donnie felt the world spin, rapid and disorientating, before he slammed into something rock and cracking under his impact.

“Not at all without my glasses Leo.” She grit, her wide smile twinging with irritation, hand still extended towards him.
The realization had then sunk in as he turned back to the poster, lowering the glasses to double check one more time. The crystal clear words turned into fuzzy colorful smeared blobs once again right before his eyes.
He gripped the glasses in his hands as he spun back to face his sister, face visible with sheer distress
“April, you didn’t tell me terrible vision was contagious!”

Orange wailed in agreement, and to his horror Red looked as if he was going to be soon to follow, holding his own tail, and eyes wide in distress at Yoshi and Orange’s noise. Purple’s face was still buried in Yoshi’s sweater even with the addition of his brothers to the lap, and Blue simply looked delighted at all the commotion, yanking on Yoshi’s sleeve as if to make sure he didn’t miss it.
“They’re children?”
“Of course they’re children!”

Summary
There’s a sudden interruption of light. It’s like a tiny, localized dawn in this corner of Brooklyn alone. A glowing circle hangs over the pier, spilling warm yellow across the water and the boardwalk.
Mikey’s senses go to war with themselves. Obviously, historically, random portals are no good. His head knows that. But his heart is soothed by it, the way he feels when Raph is late coming home from patrol and he finally walks through the door.
It’s golden and gentle and it feels like family.
His brothers are tense, but they haven’t sprung into action yet. No one’s speaking. They must feel it, too.
Rise!Mikey’s portal in the prison dimension takes Leo a little bit farther than he meant for it to. 12!Mikey finds a familiar-looking stranger.
