His brow furrowed with slight consternation. Sesshomaru appeared to take in all the scenery around him, like he thought she spotted remorse in the bushes.
“I worded that wrong.” Rin sank onto the log and reached for her son, who happily passed from his patron to his mother. “It’s just…when you think about our group – the Naraku people, I guess – we all had this crazy thing happen to us. And now Inuyasha-sama and Kagome-sama are married and have kids, and Sango-sama and Miroku-sama are married and have kids, and I adopted Eiichi. We all have kids. It just seems like you’d be happy if you moved on like the rest of us and had a family.” She ruffled Eiichi’s hair. “Puppies you could pick up by the scruff of their necks!”

So Sesshomaru's confession that he was married and he does have two children, a wife and daughters he has never mentioned before and Rin has never met, leads her to question their friendship, her place in his world, and if, after all this time, she even knows who he is.

Can a self taught miko possibly earn the trust of a wounded dog enough to help him heal? All while external forces try to rend them apart…?
Kagome enters a world filled with demons and magic, while the memory of the Shikon no tama threatens her happiness. Sesshomaru is confronted with his past, and must choose revenge, or his future, and possibly the future of demon kind.

Rin had beautiful new clothes and the absolute assurance that Sesshoumaru’s feelings were as deep and enduring as her own. “He will return for me in three or four days,” Rin explained, settling herself at Kaede’s hearth as she always had before. “I’ve been lagging lately – ” and as though to prove it, she let out a mighty yawn, “ – so he wants me to have some time to relax indoors.”
Kagome waggled her eyebrows. “Big Brother isn’t letting you sleep at night?” It was easy to assume Sesshoumaru would be a cold fish, but apparently, that was not the case. Kagome grinned. “Well, I say good for him!”
