He would like to see Zhongli again. Not Morax, the pretty face plastered on billboards; not Morax, the perfect personality on TV; not Morax, the most sought-after Alpha bachelor, but Zhongli. The needlessly earnest and diligent trainee, the mature man who’s a surprisingly picky eater, the man posing as the Beta who he had called his best friend.
And then Ajax would apologise. For everything he’d said and done. For using him to fuel his ego. For pushing all the blame onto him.
And if it were possible, he’d like to be Zhongli’s best friend again.
