The middle card was flipped, Death. Change, transition, transformation.

The card to the left was flipped, Four of Cups reversed. The card to the right, The Lovers reversed. Strange. The Lovers were never reversed for them.
“What’s it mean?”

The sun had yet to rise, and Narinder found himself awake. The dark of the room greeted him, coddled him, cradled him, and yet it remained still. He turned to his side where Laine lay beside him. His Lamb, wrapped in blankets that were stolen over the course of the night, nestled just far enough away to not be touching but close enough to reach out.
