“Quentin’s gone. He died saving me,” Eliot told her. "A world without Quentin is not a world I want to live in,” Eliot said firmly. His heart had broken the moment he had heard that Quentin had died while throwing the monster into the Seam in the Mirror World.
“You’ve come to see if I can change time for you,” Jane said with certainty in her voice.
“Can you?” He asked her.
“The watch I’ve used before would reset the entire timeloop, back to the very start, before you all came to Fillory and confronted the beast. Once there, in the next timeline you would not remember this timeline at all."
“There must be a way to send my memories to the next loop,” Eliot said desperately. “Please, I need to fix this. I need Q.” he confessed. It was the first time he had said that aloud since returning to his own body.
“Very well, then. Since you are so sure, I will help you." Jane said.

Eliot decided to start Timeline 41 and send his memories of timeline 40 to his next self. There he does a spell and someone else arrives.
Eliot had decided not to accept this reality. This existence that did not have Quentin in it anymore. If Jane Chatwin could rewrite time 40 times to stop the beast, what was one more to save Quentin?
Then Eliot cast a mental mirror ward on Quentin... and then.
“It’s me, El.”
“Peaches,” he said, needing to be sure.
“Peaches and Plums, El.” he replied, no hint of confusion in his voice. He knew what those words meant. Which meant- this was his Quentin. Somehow.

Summary
Swallowing hard and pretending he isn’t more nervous about this than anything he’s ever done, Lucifer follows her, his eyes scanning the dining room for a familiar face. He also pretends his steps don’t falter when he sees her sitting alone at a table, her head bent low over her phone as if she’s studying it intently. She lifts her head enough to take a sip of wine and his heart skips a beat.
Rather than chickening out, Lucifer shows up to have dinner with the Detective. And things get a bit more complicated than he was planning.

He has to leave. Right now. He needs to get out of here, far away from the Detective and Pierce. Perhaps his invulnerability will kick in and then he’ll be right as rain again. Turning, he stumbles away from the office, bumping into officers and detectives. He thinks Miss Lopez calls his name, but he doesn’t stop to see what she wants. He just...he can’t be here anymore.
Lucifer overhears Chloe telling Pierce that the bullet necklace was a joke and doesn't take it well.
