Maximus was a lot of things. Mostly tired, because of his insomnia, but other stuff too. Bad at most card games, pretty low on money, and absolutely terrible at his job. It’s not his fault, though. He had some really bad training. It also doesn’t help that he kind of hates patrolling the Mojave. So, when he got this random promotion that he didn’t even really want, he was slightly frustrated.
But he didn’t exactly have a choice in the matter. So there he was. Guarding a girl who seemed hellbent on getting him fired, and also getting her ass out of the bustling, safe city she was lucky to be in.
Maximus was a lot of things. But was he willing to be a fugitive in the New California Republic? Maybe. Maybe for Lucy Moldaver.
