Summary
When she comes out of the trip, up and down so swiftly, barely lifting off the ground, she is resentful of being born again. The eyes, now like the midwives in the hospital, look down upon her, observing as she comes to her senses, the noises, the sounds. The faces become distinct, each individual, personal feature picked out and assigned. But there's Thanos, from 500 miles away, smiling at Nam-gyu, and she feels so good at coming back, feeling something close to love for her, in this room. Not a kind of gushing, over-the-top, demonstrative love, like the kind she feels in the plateau of molly, swathed in an urgent need to cling and crawl into her nest of enveloping affection - instead, it's a quiet, deep appreciation. That Thanos is here, that Nam-gyu is not alone, for once in her life.
When X wins the vote after mingle, and Thanos is sent home with the same problems she had coming in, it leads her to shitty habits and even shittier people.
Out here, Nam-gyu gets the upper-hand.

He is a god visiting his shrine, forged and dedicated to him out of devotion and fear. Fear that he'd ravage any poor bastard who didn't pay him his respects. Like he deserves - Nam-gyu thinks, hot puffs of breath sticking wet against Thanos' neck -like it's his goddamn right. He answers Thanos like the man called out a prayer, a hymn in his name, a belt buckle clinking, a button soon after, then a zip, dragged down tantalisingly slow.’
