Summary
Usually when you're good at what you do, you either profit off it or you at least like it. But when it comes to working with Gotham's worst sorta people, Bill gets used to his nightly grind. At this point he's taking more jobs just to pay off his hospital bills and any dirty cop willing to keep it hush hush so he doesn't have to wait time in Rikers. It is how it is and what it is, is fucking annoying.
That is, until he gets not so willingly involved in a strained employment with the Red Hood himself. But hey, he'll happily take a few hundreds and his bones kept where they are in exchange for some info.
Its just honestly never that simple though.

“Uhh, Mr. Stark?” Peter said.
“What is it, Spiderman? You okay?”
“I’m fine but…I think we might have a ghost fighting on our side.”
“Impossible.” Thor interrupted. “Ghosts hate the living.”
“Yeah well one just saved my life and made a joke about New York’s rat problems.”
Silence over the radio.Or, New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.

Chai began typing on the keyboard, logging in to his email. “It’s my mom’s birthday,” he announced casually. “I totally forgot to send her an email.”
At first, Peppermint was bewildered. She stared at Chai as he typed out a short and sweet message to his mother. “Your mom?” She finally managed to say, still in shock.
“Yeah,” Chai replied, finishing off the email. He was about to read it over before he paused, turning to her with a weird look. “Wait… why are you so surprised?”
“Er, well, I just… you’ve… never mentioned her before."
