Mumbo sighs and nervously runs his hand through his hair as he throws out yet another canvas. He just couldn’t for the sake of him come up with anything even mildly scary. He thought sitting by the Boatem Hole, a hole that led to the literal Void, would give him some inspiration, but apparently it just isn’t his day today. Or maybe it isn’t his week. Or he just forgot how to paint-
“Ughh!”, he groans miserably, dragging the palms of his hands down his face. The sun is slowly starting to set, meaning he wasted a whole day already and got nothing done. He glares down the Hole for what felt like a millionth time that day, silently cursing it for not giving him any of the ideas that he hoped for.
Mumbo stares, at first not understanding what he is seeing. He blinks, leaning closer to get a better look at what caught his attention.

Summary
Grian runs from the Watchers during the final battle. He finds himself alone on a fragile server, but not for long. The Hermits have returned to start a new season (the ninth to be specific) after killing the Watchers and destroying the servers they had corrupted. But there appears to be a strange presence on the server. One that leaves gifts, builds, and questions in their wake. They started calling them the Cryptid.
They'll learn his real name soon enough.
