Padawan Beckett Mariner has always pushed at the limits of what the Jedi Order will allow it's members to do but now her latest antics have gotten her assigned to a new mission/punishment she must guard the rules obsessed Senator Boimler as the young aristocrat tries to reform some of the obsolete laws of the Republic even if his efforts have gotten him death threats.
What starts off as a seemingly never-ending mission changes as the two of them start seeing the good in each other, but not everything is as it seems and the danger to both of them is quite real albeit hidden.
