Summary
Coran blissfully didn’t comment on Lance’s out of character visit, just greeted him with a wide grin and a wave. “Lance, my boy! What can I get for you?”
That, actually, was a good question. For once in his life, Lance didn’t want to see the swirling whites and blues of his usual One Night In Bangkok. One Night’s were bright and beautiful and hopeful, and at the moment, that wasn’t how Lance felt. He felt…
He felt like the sound of the door banging open behind him, like the sound of rapid footsteps and rustling fabric and a chair being pulled out too fast, too loud, all before Lance’s brain caught up with the situation and urged him to turn around. The sight of Dark Haired Hottie slumped over a table and desperately trying to hide his face and the slight shake of his shoulders was a bittersweet one. Something in Lance’s chest sang at the sight of him while something else broke, cracked, shattered. It was clear something had happened, and Hottie was desperately trying to hide it, and Lance felt a similar sort of desperation rise up in him as he turned back around and met Coran’s eyes. Against all preconceived odds they’d both found themselves here, and Lance wasn’t about to let an opportunity like that pass by.

Summary
Usually, the snippets of memories Shiro was allowed to see from Kano’s adventures every night were nothing extraordinary. There were flashes of black-blue sky, flashes of the brown-orange concrete lit by orange street lamps, flashes of other animals and stumbling human feet at a distance and occasionally the blue-black green-black of a dumpster when he went foraging. But lately, they’d been different. Lately, they’d been flashes of the same half-lit alleyway, the same milk crate, the same rusted metal backdoor. There’d been flashes of red and white checkered food trays and the same pair of beat up sneakers, fond memories of warm, brown hands and kind, brown eyes. It felt so familiar to him, everything about it. The memories danced around behind his eyelids and tingled in the back of his brain, screaming at him that he knew that place and he knew that face and he’d seen of it all before. But he just… couldn’t put his finger on it, no matter how many times he played the snippets over in his brain.

Summary
He waited for days, and no one came.
He waited for weeks, and he never saw another soul.
He waited for months, and watched the human cities creep farther and farther away from the base of his mountain, reaching further into the rich, fertile lands and leaving behind the towering peaks he called home.
He waited for years, and he knew then for sure that they had no interest in him. The humans weren’t coming for him, and it left him lost, confused, without purpose. If the humans didn’t want to slay him, didn’t want to see him dead on the ground, then... what was he supposed to do now?

Summary
“You look like you could use this,” the body said, shaking the bottle a little. Keith flicked his eyes upward and stole a glance at the stranger, gleaning an overwhelming amount of information in the bare second he was looking. Keith reached up slowly and took the bottle from the man standing in front of him—maybe a little too close—and was surprised when his hands weren’t shaking. Figures; the one night he didn’t sit in his regular seat, he was approached by a stranger.

Summary
"Ever since he was a little kid, he wanted to explore the ocean. Since his family had lived close to the beach and went as often as they could, the ocean had been one of the first things to capture Matt’s attention and one of the only things to hold it. He was fascinated with the possibilities, amazed by all the things humans didn’t know, enraptured by all the secrets just waiting to be discovered. He wanted to be someone who made a discovery, a person that came to the surface with a breakthrough, and he’d been waiting his entire life for the chance to do it.
And now, a fresh college graduate with a shiny diploma that dubbed him an official marine biologist among other things Matt didn’t find himself rushing into the field."

Summary
"Where does it go?" Varka's warm hands on his shoulders again, drawing him closer until he collides with heat and fabric and a strong, sturdy body beneath. Flins' eyes stay open. His gaze sticks to the azure of Varka's coat. "Where does all that hurt go, if we can't see it?"
Inside, he supposes. Inside his cold, aching chest, where his flames aren't enough to burn it away.
Finally, Flins shuts his eyes, fingers hooking in fabric, mouth pressed to Varka's shoulder behind layers of fabric. Fool, he thinks again, and imagines himself biting down. Varka has never seemed to know not to get so close.
